In The Dark

In the dark corners,

He looks for a blade,

Something needs to be fixed, perhaps,

He needs to get to it,

Cut everything open,  make it like it was before,

When there was a hand to clench,

And every sign was from heaven.

In the dark corners,

He does not have the gift of indifference,

While he frantically eats away each of his fears,

Devouring on the flesh mercilessly ,

For every moment horrified,

Until they become him.

And there’s no fear anymore.

In the dark corners,

He denies his soul for what it is,

Looks for a unicorn, perhaps,

Difficult to get sense out of,

Raging lullabies put him to sleep,

Nights don’t quite move him,

So there’s no new day.

If you find him one dark corner,

He’ll probably not look at you,

will have a little smile that still remains,

Do tell him she loved him too.
